Chad Mowery

Chad received his associate’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix and is currently working on his bachelor’s degree in business management from Kansas State University. Chad began his railroad career as a conductor in 1999 with the Indiana & Ohio Railway. In 2000, he became a locomotive engineer, and four years later, a dispatcher and director of train operations. He worked his way up to general manager east for Genesee & Wyoming, Inc., where he served as GM of the New England Central Railroad, Connecticut Southern Railroad, and Massena Terminal Railroad.

In 2015, Chad joined CMQ as a general manager and is now Vice President of Operations. He is responsible for engineering, mechanical, and transportation departments in the United States and Canada, as well as Katahdin Railcar Services, which is a 24,000-square-foot tank car cleaning and repair facility in Derby, Maine.

Chad and his wife Beth have three children and live in Hermon, Maine. Chad enjoys coaching softball and serves on the boards of Bangor West Little League, Operation Lifesaver of Vermont, and the New England Railroad Club.
